One of the companies I acquired in 2020 is Remote Quiz (RemoteQuiz.app), which at the time, was a corporate and enterprise remote quizzing solutions. The main intention of the acquisition was two fold – (1) Self learn and admittedly, as a self motivator to learn “coding” on the no-code platform Bubble.io and (2) Launch a strategic pivot of the enterprise software product to an education technology (EdTech) K-12 product
After speaking with 2-3 dozens of teaching professionals, I realize there was a dire need for a remote and fun learning solution for K12 learners as both teachers, tutors and parents are all struggling to keep their young learners engaged in this remote learning so I decided to put my head down on the weekends and after work to focus on building and revamping the product, building out an awesome team, and developing business and non-profit (to help families and teachers with limited resources in this forceful transition to remote learning for some) partnerships.
Here are some milestones accomplished since acquisition:
- Onboarded 1,300 learners and 100 teachers with 16,000+ questions answered
- Drove growth from low pre-revenue pre-acquisition to stable monthly recurring revenue (MRR)
- Hired two team members (both are former/current teachers)
- Onboarded tutors and teachers located in Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, United Kingdom, and the United States
- Onboarded teachers in a wide range of areas math, language, spelling and vocabulary
- Enterprise learning clients such as PwC, CBRE, Slalom Consulting, and Ogilvy Australia

The long term strategy is to build RemoteQuiz into an comprehensive remote learning offerings for teachers, tutors and parents alike so I will likely be acquiring more companies and/or building new products to enhance the movement towards this direction.
I will keep everyone post on this #nocode journey.
